In September 2013, the International Table Tennis Federation, through the Para Table Tennis Division, and the AGITOS foundation, agreed to develop a project for online training for Para Table Tennis umpires, refereees, technical delegates and classifiers.
UMPIRES:
The umpires course consists of four power point presentations, 28 short video episodes and a final quiz of eight questions and answers in trial basis.
The presentations and videos complement the ITTF Handbook and the ITTF Handbook for Match Officials. These videos are mostly on the practical aspects of umpiring and it is our objective that umpires have a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
The aim is to achieve a higher standard in umpiring and consistency in our performance, in our umpiring, including presentation, and have visual elements of a practical nature such as umpire uniform and equipment, duties before the match, time keeping, illegal advice etc.
The overall purpose is to reach a better understanding and more consistent performance, with the aim of achieving a higher standard.
REFEREES:
There will be a number of videos for education. We hope to have them completed within 2015.
TECHNICAL DELEGATES:
There are two Power Point presentations currently developed and in the future a video education will be available.
