The Code of Practice for Sports Coaches is an invaluable tool designed by Sports Coach UK and adopted by many governing bodies of sport as is the case of Table Tennis England. It provides an ethical framework and a guide for good and safe coaching practice.

Coaches play an important role in the development of Table Tennis as in the development of any sport. Good coaches contribute to positive experiences to their athletes which on the long term enable them to continue and perform. It is key to help coaches understand their responsibilities as well as to promote both fun and performance.

According to the Code of Practice for Sports Coaches good coaching practice reflects the following key principles: Rights, Relationships and Responsibilities (at personal and professional level)

For each principle this guide defines corresponding statements, issues and actions.

We encourage all table tennis coaches to go through the document´s five pages and reflect on its guiding principles.
