A revision of CAS will focus on its structure, content, the form of presentation of the syllabus, its translation into French, Spanish and Arabic and on the provision of training and support to the course conductors. Providers can apply to assume one or all of these five components.

Importantly, the aim of the revised CAS initiative is to provide quality training education for table tennis coaches; by advancing through the different levels, coaches will need to demonstrate knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation of the presented material. A further objective is the introduction of blended learning, where educational material will be organized at least partly through on-line learning; and the student will have at least some element of control over time, place, path, and pace.

Furthermore, a revised CAS will also be in line with the International Sport Coaching Framework and it will be the responsibility of the chosen provider to ensure that this will be the case.
